Charlotte
Charlotte began her career in the advertising industry, initially working as a media planner in London for clients including Virgin Trains and Britannia Building Society. The role involved significant analytical work using large datasets such as TGI, which led her into market research.
Her project experience is broad, encompassing marketing-related research such as awareness tracking, campaign evaluation, and advertising material testing, as well as customer and employee satisfaction studies, website evaluation, and customer segmentation.
In recent years, Charlotte has specialised in public sector and education research, allowing her to combine her knowledge of marketing and commercial businesses with academia and local government. She enjoys problem-solving, thinking projects through to their final conclusion, and “geeking out” with data.
Outside of work, Charlotte is a member of three book groups and spends much of her time engaging with her two inquisitive children. Her daughter once asked Charlotte to describe what her job involves – on hearing a brief explanation of market research, she gave the shocked response “isn’t it very rude to ask people lots of questions?”.
