As an employee-owned organisation ourselves, we know that the date your company transitioned to employee ownership is really just the start of your EO journey. Understanding how your people connect and identify with your EO model, and their new role as ‘employee owners’, is vital not only from day one but for the long term.

Since our transition to employee ownership back in 2021, we’ve evolved our in-house employee survey – MyDJS – to monitor our progress along our EO journey. Measuring the impact of EO on our people, including their feelings and attitudes towards it, has helped us make informed, people-centred decisions. We’ve seen the benefits of adopting a tailored approach and we’ve baked what we’ve learned into a new tool to help fellow employee-owned organisations harness the same opportunity.
