Our ambassadors, and the new initiatives, steering our B Corp journey

March 2026

Our whole company is proud to have achieved verification by B Lab as an organisation that meets high standards of social, environmental and governance practices. The challenge now is to build on these strong foundations to ensure we continue to move the dial on positive change; our CSR team and passionate network of CSR ambassadors are the group leading us forward.

Our CSR team forms one of six core pillars in our strategic business plan, and their outputs extend far beyond the rigorous B Corp application process! Collectively, they help reinforce our social and environmental commitments across the organisation and ensure these are embedded into day-to-day working practices. Last autumn, the reach and impact of this central team was extended through the creation of CSR ambassadors across departments.

They help to embed our social and environmental standards and expectations at a department level. Their passion and enthusiasm are proving to be invaluable as they drive new initiatives and galvanise support for new practices.

Meet our CSR ambassadors

We caught up with our CSR ambassadors to find out why they put themselves forward for this role and what they are already doing to make a positive impact.

Alex Noden, Research Support Team Manager

"My main motivator is helping to ensure we have an effective EDI policy which is not just words. I have a personal interest in this area and want to help ensure that DJS Research is an inclusive environment for anyone to work in, so that everyone feels able to be themselves without fear of judgement or discrimination."

Michelle Flanagan, CATI Operations Manager

"I liked the idea of getting involved in things that make a positive impact. It’s a great way to bring people together, boost morale, and give back as a team."

Alex Scaife, Senior Research Executive (FaDs)

"I believe ambassadors should challenge companies to demonstrate genuine commitment to meaningful change, rather than treating it as a tick-box exercise. On a personal level, I’m making a conscious effort to reduce my reliance on driving – walking and using public transport wherever I can. I also prefer to scour clothes resale sites, like Vinted and Depop, rather than buying new."

Saffron Goodwin, Senior Research Executive

"I believe we all have some responsibility to do our part, and taking on the role of a CSR ambassador felt like a good way for me to begin. I now only print when it’s absolutely necessary, and I'm working on getting better at taking digital notes instead of filling up notepads!"

Lucy Needle, Research Manager

"One small change I try to stick to is reducing my consumption of single-use plastic. I’ve always got my reusable water bottle and coffee cup, and I’ve started buying refills for my cleaning products, rather than buying a whole new bottle each time."

What's next on our CSR roadmap?

Our CSR team and ambassadors have a range of initiatives underway that will gather momentum in the weeks ahead.

These include:

  • Extending our support for charitable organisations: We have expanded the breadth and diversity of the charitable organisations we support to include both local and national charities.
  • Accessibility working group: Created to tackle the challenge of further optimising the accessibility of our research tools and deliverables (including PowerPoint and Word documents).
  • Giving research participants an opportunity to make a difference: Developing new functionality within our online panel platform to enable research participants to gift their paid incentives to a charitable cause.
  • Revising our pricing policy for charities and purpose-driven organisations: Offering a discounted day rate for registered charities and approved purpose-driven organisations to support them to deliver research that drives change and improvement.

These are just a few of the plans we have put into action since the start of 2026.

As our first year of B Corp Certification begins, we’re looking forward to connecting with other like-minded businesses across the B Corp network. Collaboration, fuelled by the sharing of ideas, experiences and key learnings, will help us all to maximise the social value we create.

Later this year we’ll be publishing our 2025 Impact Report including a detailed overview of our performance against a range of CSR Key Performance Indicators. More information will be shared soon, so watch this space

In the meantime, to find out more about CSR at DJS Research, or simply to connect and share ideas in this important space, contact our team at csr@djsresearch.com – they’d love to chat.
