The word sustainability can have multiple meanings but at DJS Research we use this term to mean not only staying in business, and making a profit, but also doing the right thing for our people, our stakeholders, communities and the planet. We strive to make an important and worthwhile contribution to society through our work across the private, public and third sectors. We believe accountability for our social and environmental responsibilities and impacts is as important as the qualification of the quality and integrity of our research capabilities.

Our commitment to best practice is endorsed by the MRS and our clients

As an accredited company partner of the Market Research Society (MRS) our research capabilities and business integrity are fully endorsed. We adhere wholly to the strict MRS Code of Conduct and recognise the importance of ensuring that not only what we do, but how we do it, leaves only a positive impact on the world around us. We ensure inclusivity and accessibility are embedded in our projects from the outset to deliver fully representative research for our clients which gives a voice to all audiences. We also prioritise research that delivers positive social impact – particularly in areas such as public services, regulation, healthcare, culture and vulnerable audiences – where robust insight can support better outcomes for people and communities.

Our transition to employee ownership was followed by the creation of a new strategic plan, developed collaboratively by Managing Director Al Gleed with employee Partners across our organisation. Throughout this process one message came through loud and clear: employee ownership goes hand in hand with responsibility – to each other, our clients, and society.

That revelation marked a turning point and since then we have adopted a more structured, evidence-based approach to understanding and improving our impact as a business.

Our pursuit of social and environmental accountability led us to submit our organisation for B Corp Certification and in December 2025 we were delighted to become a Certified B Corporation, joining a global community of businesses committed to balancing profit with purpose.

What does it mean to be a B Corp?

Certified B Corporation™ are businesses verified by B Lab™ to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Certification looks at the whole business – including governance, how we support our people, our role in the community, our environmental practices, and how we serve our clients. It’s not a one-off badge: B Corps commit to continuous improvement and must recertify every three years.

For DJS Research, B Corp Certification provides an external framework that helps hold us to account and ensures our commitments are embedded in how we operate day to day.
