Market research case study:
Creative Services: Communicating public perceptions of optical services

General Optical Council

The challenge

The General Optical Council (GOC) commissioned DJS Research to deliver its annual representative survey exploring public perceptions of optical services across the UK. Alongside robust research delivery, the challenge was to present the findings in a clear, engaging way that would support understanding and wider dissemination across multiple audiences, while aligning with the GOC’s brand and tone.

The approach

Following completion of the survey, which gathered responses from over 2,000 adults, the Creative Services team designed a suite of outputs to showcase the key findings. This included a visually engaging infographic using clear hierarchy and data visualisation to highlight trends around satisfaction, confidence in services, and changing behaviours. A short video summary was also produced to translate the findings into a concise, memorable format, supporting digital sharing and enabling audiences to engage quickly with the insight.

The results

The infographic and video summary transformed detailed survey data into accessible, engaging assets, helping to extend the reach and impact of the research and demonstrate the value of strong visual storytelling.
