Who can take part in DJS Research focus groups?
To take part in our paid focus groups, you’ll need to join our research panel Opinion Exchange.
Joining is free and open to anyone aged 16 or over.
Occasionally, we also run research with under-16s, but these projects are organised separately and always require parental or guardian consent. You can’t join Opinion Exchange if you’re under 16.
What is Opinion Exchange?
Opinion Exchange is our research panel, owned and managed by DJS Research. We use it to invite people to take part in paid focus groups and other research studies run by our team.
What happens after you sign up?
Once you’re a panel member, you’ll receive email invitations when a focus group (or other paid research task) is a good match for you.
Some sessions take place in person, usually at venues within a reasonable distance of where you live. Others are online, often using platforms such as Zoom. Every invitation includes clear details in advance, including the date, time, format and the thank-you payment offered.
Your details and privacy
We take protecting your information seriously. Your details are handled in line with UK data protection legislation and the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.
Your information is used only for research purposes and is never shared without your permission. Any contact from us will always relate to genuine research opportunities, never sales or marketing.
How long do focus groups last and what do they pay?
Most focus groups last between one and two hours. Payments vary depending on the project, but typically range from £30 to £150. Full details are always explained before you decide whether to take part.
