DJS Research was commissioned to design, manage and deliver the 2024 Residents’ Survey on behalf of North Tyneside Council, ensuring that fieldwork, questionnaire development, representative sampling and reporting were conducted to high standards of methodological rigour. Using a mixed mode research approach incorporating online, telephone and face-to-face interviewing, the study reached a wide cross-section of residents, enabling high-quality insight into local views and experiences.
The insights generated by the survey help the council understand how people feel about the quality of services, local priorities and key community issues. Findings are used to benchmark satisfaction across demographic groups and areas of the borough, identify areas for improvement and track trends over time. This evidence underpins council planning and performance monitoring, supports public engagement and ensures services respond to what matters most to residents.
The research plays a vital role in shaping Our North Tyneside Voice engagement and feeds into wider consultation activity, including the Big Community Conversation, which combines residents’ views across multiple feedback channels to help prioritise local strategies and council plans.
