NRW submitted an advice and recommendations paper to WG for the dogs on leads reform area in March 2022, which was formed from collaborative working with external stakeholders. As well as covering legislative requirement advice, there were several nonlegislative recommendations put forward for consideration.
Feeding into the non-legislative recommendations, the aim of this project was to develop a behavioural science-based approach that would ultimately generate various behaviourally informed ideas for targeted interventions that might reduce the number of dog related incidents that occur in the vicinity of livestock.
