DJS Research was commissioned to design, manage and deliver the 2025 Residents’ Survey, bringing specialist expertise in mixed mode community research. The survey used a combined approach of online, telephone (CATI), and face-to-face (CAPI) interviewing to maximise engagement and ensure representative coverage across the borough’s diverse population. Rigorous sampling, quota controls and weighting were applied so that results reflect Croydon’s resident profile by age, gender, ethnicity, disability and ward.
Respondents were asked a wide range of questions covering satisfaction with council services (including parks, waste collection, street cleanliness and community safety), perceptions of wellbeing, priorities for local investment and overall quality of life. Insight from the survey highlights community strengths and areas for improvement, providing a clear evidence base that supports council decision-making and future planning. The survey also enables comparison with previous years’ results, helping Croydon Council to track trends over time.
DJS Research’s involvement ensured high methodological standards and quality insight, supporting Croydon Council in listening to its residents and responding to what matters most in local communities.
