The challenge

Pulse Outdoor Media commissioned research to understand the population of people who visit or are based in UK hospitals on a day-to-day basis and to identify the most effective locations for hospital advertising.

The approach

DJS Research conducted 450 in-person interviews with hospital visitors across three hospitals.

Interviews were carried out on weekdays and weekends over a three-week period to capture a representative picture of visitor behaviour.

The results

The research provided insights into hospital footfall, including visit frequency and duration, as well as the locations where visitors are most likely to notice advertising.

These findings supported Pulse Outdoor Media in optimising advertising placement within hospitals.
