The challenge

NIGELANDTEAM is a human experience insight agency whose international team of ethnologists, anthropologists, semioticians, and documentarians use qualitative and quantitative research to explore and understand the human experience – behaviour, habits, preferences, dislikes, needs, wants, and response to stimuli. 

NIGELANDTEAM required a trusted fieldwork and data collection partner who could quickly and efficiently collect data and recruit across a range of different audiences and sectors. This is where DJS Research Field & Data Services came in. 

The approach

The DJS Research Field & Data Services team has worked closely with NIGELANDTEAM since 2022, successfully recruiting high calibre candidates for a wide variety of projects and using a range of methodologies. Projects have covered both broad consumer audiences and niche target groups, with recruitment briefs ranging from acquiring engineers and software developers for in-depth interviews and focus groups, to recruiting train users for accompanied journeys, and engaging the general public to understand views on pet insurance.

The results

All in-depth interviews, groups and accompanied journeys were conducted by NIGELANDTEAM to a pre-agreed schedule with DJS Research sourcing the recruits, setting up appointment slots, and managing incentive payments. 

Other projects have included telephone, face-to-face, and online surveys using both client-supplied contacts and online panel samples. In these instances, the DJS Research Field & Data Services team both script and host the surveys and provide tailored tabulations for NIGELANDTEAM to analyse.
