GradWeb is the UK’s leading graduate, entry-level and volume recruitment specialist, working with major organisations globally to deliver recruitment programmes ranging from end-to-end provision to individual services such as recruitment advertising, attraction, online recruitment systems, assessment and selection, onboarding, consultancy and candidate management.
As competition for entry-level talent increased, employers required a robust way to benchmark their recruitment programmes.
In response, GradWeb launched the Graduate Insights Report to provide data-led insight into graduate recruitment trends.
The Graduate Insights Report was designed to identify key trends in UK graduate recruitment using campaign data from multiple employers across a range of sectors, including engineering, FMCG, telecommunications and the public sector.
The research was based on anonymised candidate data covering both successful and unsuccessful applicants, individuals from diverse backgrounds and qualification levels, and applicants across multiple roles and industries.
GradWeb commissioned DJS Research to process and structure this data in a format that could be used actionably for the report.
Anonymised data from multiple source files was consolidated into a single dataset containing over 220,000 contacts.
To support this process, the DJS Research data team developed a bespoke macro to standardise the data format.
The dataset was then cleaned through de-duplication and manual resolution of anomalies before being prepared for analysis. Final outputs were converted into structured data tables, including top-line findings and key analytical breaks.
DJS Research delivered the data in a clear and accessible format, enabling GradWeb to efficiently produce the Graduate Insights Report.
With the process established, the approach can now be replicated for future releases of the research.
"DJS Research were our preferred research partner based on their superb industry reputation and their can-do attitude in support of our bespoke project requirements and time frames. We required 220,000+ recruitment applications to be cleansed, aggregated and analysed to provide clear and concise outputs. The service was exceptional, offering complete flexibility and guidance throughout the project. This has resulted in the aggregation of valuable data, which is now easy to interpret and provide commentary on. We look forward to working with DJS Research again as our retained and highly valued research partner." (now operating as Amberjack)

From tightly structured, closed-question online surveys with thousands of participants, to highly targeted on-street questionnaires, we have the skills and resources to deliver the scale and depth of responses you need.
We craft bespoke quantitative solutions, selecting the best channels and routes of engagement to reach your audience, and often recommend a mixed-mode approach to maximise success. For example, adding targeted postal and self-completion ‘top-ups’ onto a predominantly online survey to ensure less digitally engaged cohorts, who may have limited internet access, are included in research outputs.

Some of our most frequently used quantitative services include:
As a full-service market research agency with a dedicated Field and Data Services team, we have the scale to provide end-to-end solutions and the agility to deliver specific quantitative services to support specific business needs. For example, clients and research consultants who have their own datasets come to us for specialist support with processing, tabulation and reporting.
Whether you wish to engage a small, clearly defined group – such as 25 senior SME decision-makers in a particular field – or thousands of consumers across a single region or multiple global markets – we can deliver the insights you need.
