Market research case study:
Migrating and managing Elsevier’s international health panel

Elsevier

The challenge

Elsevier is one of the world's largest providers of scientific, technical and medical information.

To ensure it remained up to date with the evolving needs and requirements of healthcare professionals and students globally, Elsevier commissioned DJS Research to migrate its existing panel from a previous provider and establish a bespoke community for ongoing engagement.

The approach

DJS Research worked with the previous provider to transfer the panel, including approximately 7,000 members, to the new platform. Elsevier had panel members from more than 100 countries worldwide. DJS Research managed all incentivisation for the platform.

The panel was translated into eight major languages spoken by panellists, and all surveys underwent the same translation process.

The results

DJS Research ran Elsevier’s health panel for more than seven years, following an initial two-year contract. The panel was used multiple times a year as a sample source to collect data for a range of Elsevier’s surveys.
