An online survey collected responses from 1,500 consumers across Europe and the US. A conjoint analysis employed a structured grid of product options and price points, supplemented by additional targeted survey questions.
The resulting data was used to build a market simulator capable of estimating share for different product options at varying price points.
The research provided clear direction on which added-value benefits were most valued by consumers, highlighting regional and demographic differences.
The market simulator enabled DuPont to demonstrate the value of specific benefits to customers, supporting commercial discussions and influencing ingredient selection decisions over competitor offerings.
