Results from survey identify dream job for marketers: A nationwide survey of 1,200 workers has created a picture of what the ideal role for marketing professionals would be, taking into consideration areas such as salary, flexibility, location and benefits.

The recruitment survey by CV Library found the most desirable place to pursue a career in marketing was London, with 47.1% saying finding work in in the capital would be their number one choice, with Bristol (29.4%) and Brighton (23.5%) coming in second and third.

Salary expectations and flexible working

The survey also revealed a desire to go against the traditional nine-to-five. Flexible working was high on the list of desirables for marketing professionals with two thirds (66.7%) saying a role that offered the ability to work flexibly would be most appealing to them, compared to just 22.2% content with working nine to five.
