Research shows Britons not satisfied with major high-street banks: Figures from the latest Which? customer satisfaction survey suggest that, despite dominating the UK banking market, the major high-street banks score below average in terms of their customer satisfaction ratings.
Of those banks which dominate the UK’s current account market (accounting for more than 80% of it) the following all fall below the average score of 62% satisfaction generated by 30 financial brands:
Santander (46%), Halifax (48%), Bank of Scotland (49%), RBS (50%), Lloyds (51%), Barclays (54%), Natwest (56%) and HSBC (60%).
Customers with savings account appear to the most unhappy, with many citing their annoyance that loyalty doesn’t seem to pay and that they go as far as to switch their accounts to get better interest rates.
