Research finds top 20 chocolate-loving nations of 2014: With the help of Euromonitor International’s 2014 per capita consumption data, ConfectionaryNews has compiled a list of the top 20 chocolate consuming nations.

In former Eastern bloc countries such as Estonia and Lithuania, the consumption of chocolate has been steadily rising. As well as former Eastern bloc countries, Russia’s consumption has also been growing.

In areas such as the developing BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and MINT (Mexico, Indonisia, Nigeria and Turkey), chocolate consumption was also mapped. Since 2012, chocolate consumption has been growing or plateauing in these developing areas.
