Opinion survey reveals how Britons feel about Apple devices: A survey of 2,000 Britons by Toluna has shown that the majority of UK iPad owners (more than half) are annoyed about the timing of the new iPad 4 launch.
Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled the iPad 4 on 23 October – only seven months after the release of the latest iPad 3. This has prompted 54% of the UK surveyants to feel disgruntled at no longer owning the latest device.
In terms of Apple’s new iPad Mini, respondents were more positive – 11% claimed they will 'definitely buy one' and 33% said they will 'probably buy one'. Nevertheless, many were unhappy at the iPad Mini's $329 (£204.16) starting price.
Additionally, when asked which device the respondents would prefer if given a choice between the iPad Mini, Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 Tablet, the Kindle won through with 43% choosing it as their favoured option, followed by the iPad Mini at 39%.
Finally, the market research also questioned consumers about their general current attitude toward the Apple brand – over a third at 37% felt that Apple’s reputation has been tarnished by the iMaps disaster when the iPhone 5 was released.
