Coventry crowned trick-or-treat capital, research finds: Coventry has been named the trick-or-treat capital of Britain with a massive 94 per cent of children anticipated to dress up for a night of trick-or-treating.

With the national average of trick-or-treaters at 70 per cent, this puts Coventry at the very top of the leaderboard.

Close behind Coventry as the most popular cities for trick-or-treating are Swansea (number 2) and Norwich (number 3).

However, if you’d like a generous amount of goodies, Wolverhampton is the place to visit. 69 per cent of parents in Wolverhampton claim that they are willing to hand out money, sweets and toys to youngsters.

On the other hand, Brighton and Gloucester were named the thriftiest cities, as only 11 per cent of parents are willing to give out money to trick-or-treaters.

Worcester was crowned the most unwelcoming city to trick-or-treaters as only 46 per cent of parents claim to take their children out on Halloween.

  4. Leicester
  5. Southampton
