Visitor experience research

Back to glossary

Visitor experience research

Visitor experience research is a term for a specific form of market research, focused around the experience of visitors. Typically this would focus on satisfaction, likelihood to recommend, any specific parts of the attraction that were visited and feedback on these – for instance a specific exhibition within a museum or gallery, or a specific ride at a theme park.

Visitor experience research is specific to visitors – as distinct from wider audience research, which might include other audiences such as non-visitors, digital visitors or those who engage with an attraction through other means (such as social media channels for instance).

DJS Research offers a wide range of visitor experience approaches and works with a range of high profile attractions. We also offer a proprietary methodology, MoVE (Measure of Visitor Experience) which can be used across a range of attractions and experiences.
