Likert scale
A series of related Likert items can be combined to form a Likert scale, which provides a more robust measurement of a particular concept, such as satisfaction, preference, or opinion strength. Likert scales are particularly useful because they allow quantitative analysis of subjective attitudes while being simple and intuitive for respondents to complete.
Example:
Respondents rate the statement “I find this product easy to use” on a scale of 1–5:
1: Strongly disagree.
2: Disagree.
3: Neither agree nor disagree.
4: Agree.
5: Strongly agree.
DJS Research uses Likert scales in surveys to capture nuanced insights into customer opinions, helping to quantify attitudes and inform actionable business decisions.
An example Likert scale is shown below Each of the numbers 1–5 are an individual Likert item.
